Caldor Fire Response Update – September 4

As evacuations continue to lift we rejoice with those who are able to return home and send them joyfully on their way with full bellies and love from our community.

To those who have lost their homes, we mourn with you and want you to know that we are here for you. We will have more information in the near future on how to receive further support from us.

Due to the number of people able to return we will NOT BE ACCEPTING ANYMORE ITEM DONATIONS at this time. If you’d like to donate to those who have been impacted by the fire including those who have lost their homes you can donate through our website by choosing the Fire Fund.

Today (Saturday September 4)  is our last day as a donation center, we will be open from 9am-3pm!

If you have mailed items to us - we will continue to accept them as they come in and distribute to those in need. Any leftover items will be passed along to serve fire relief needs in and around our community.

To those who have donations to give, we encourage you to seek out other evacuation sites serving the new evacuees on the eastern side of the fire and long term sites serving those from Grizzly Flats.

THANK YOU so much for your generosity to those impacted by the Caldor Fire.

We have been continually blown away by the support from our community far and wide.
